Getting organised
“I had to focus on growth, you know” – Headie One (Music x Road)
All the hard work I put in to open some doors to be where I am, I know I’ve come some way from when I was locked in a small room with one glass window. I still remember being in that room, in a place called Jeonpo Market, Busan.
Got deep real quick there.
It’s been a month since my last update on University, so here’s another one:
· Finished off the Korean literature unit content having earned so much out of discussions and by trying out creative writing. I wrote my first poem in Korean. Link at the end of the post.
· Korean Culture unit is going well, having a lot of fun at the moment writing up my final assignment. I’m writing about how Gyeongsang province dialect is tied with its culture and identity.
· Oceanography; I’m just finishing off, having done all course work, just the exam left. I’d love to write about what I learned in this unit some other time, I really loved it.
· In Catchment Hydrology, I got to write a research essay on deforestation, looking into Kalimantan, Indonesia and the Xingu river basin, Amazonia, Brazil. Had quite a lot fun doing this and I wish I had more time. A lot of great research papers.
· Environmental policy unit. Man its been boring to be completely honest, but all in all quite rewarding in the knowledge and patience I gained from it. I did a critical analysis on the Environment Effects Statement (EES) / Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on the Melbourne Metro Rail Project.
I’ve got 2 upcoming exams, 1 more short essay, 1 youtube video to make and I’ll be done.
Nearly done with semester 1 of the final year of my undergraduate studies.
I took an external German test sometime in May, and got 92/100! I got the Goethe-Zertifikaet A1 😊. It was super easy because it’s the lowest one. Now studying towards the A2 in the end of June.
I’ve definitely worked smarter than I have worked hard this semester. That’s enough.
This post is gonna get long.
I’ve had a lot of growth lately.
Job as a Pool Deck Supervisor at my workplace. I’ve challenged myself there, especially with leadership skills and accountability.
University, I’ve really stuck to everything and enjoyed it.
I’ve struggled with keeping up with my own volunteer group but its in good hands with my fellow leaders [Love Our Street 3150].
Between lockdowns and life, I’ve really loved spending quite a lot of time at University, studying with friends and going out here and there for meals.
Having finished a big ride last month and training for a marathon now, along with my calisthenics and gym work, I’ve been well and healthy.
I got a new fridge and I’m cooking more than ever, ingredients from the market,, it’s so great.
Lifeguarding and keeping it real with my aim to jump into bigger roles in the future,,
Working slowly on the clothing business again!
I think there’s a few other things but above are the things that’s kept me busy and going so much.
That feels good, letting it all out.
I’ve just got so much more I want to put out, to express myself.
I’ll be back with so much more.
