My Target Language: Korean
Target language word with broad collocational range: '보다' (verb) - to see, look at, notice.
티비를 보다 = TV + to see = to watch television
1간을 보다 = salt level + to see = to taste (the salt level of foods (typically soup))
2간을 보다 = taste + to see = to test, try someone
의사를 보다 = doctor + to see = to meet or consult a doctor
집을 보다 = house + to see = to inspect a property
맛을 보다 = taste + to see = to taste
Target language word with narrow collocational range: '이해' (noun) - understanding, comprehension
이해를 하다/못 하다 = understanding + to do = to understand/not understand
이해가 가다/안 가다 = understanding + to go/to not go = to understand/not understand
